Fat Cupid's Mocha Latte by Skye Eagleday5/20/2023 ![]() ![]() I slide my hands to my thighs, looking down and seeing goddamned boobs pressing against my Banana Republic shirt.įrantically I unzipped my jeans that were now way too tight around my hips, and pulled them off. I was as smooth as Bitsy-although a lot prettier. WTF? My hair was now below my shoulders, and my wide eyes were the oddest color I had ever seen, but as I stared, that extra color faded and they were back to their normal green again. I got up and ran to the mirror, having the strange sensation I was shorter, like I was before puberty kicked in. My clothes got loose, and then they felt like they were shrinking. Wait, I was crazy! It felt as if air was pumped into me and then sucked out. I scraped my arms and legs, foolishly trying to knock off invisible bugs or something. I sat up, suddenly feeling as if my whole body had snakes crawling over it. How date men when you hate men5/20/2023 ![]() Red flags popped up once she started talking about how having multiple crushes is so fun that she even began creating a spreadsheet with a column for “STATUS” for each crush. ![]() ![]() It’s nothing more than the neurotic ramblings of a woman boxing herself in the role of a single millennial gal in NYC, as if her entire persona is based on rom-coms (this is even more obvious as she constantly references rom-coms that she loves). I assumed that she would dive deeper into those topics because she had introduced them in the first chapter, but it turns out she only grazes the surface in an attempt to have more substance than she lets on. ![]() It starts off promising as you’re introduced to Roberson’s lighthearted writing style, in which she balances flippant humor with questions of how we can navigate romantic relationships with a group that has all the systemic power. This book makes me embarrassed to be straight. ![]()
